I got off the bus at work, and in the driveway of the hotel, stepped on a rock, and twisted my ankle. I pitched forward, and reflexively tried to catch myself, leading to scraped hands. I also failed to catch myself, my face impacting the concrete. What makes me really sad is that no one saw it. No one ran to catch me, or pick me up. I had to call the office and ask if someone would come out and help me. Mihir, the new boss did. He was very nice about the whole thing. Helped me in, let me clean up, and made out an incident report. My ankle still hurts like hell, but it's getting better. I have a bad scrape on the side of my left hand. I feel achy, like you sometimes get after a wreck. Like everything clenched. If I touch my face, it hurts, but not unless I touch. If I am lucky, I won't bruise. My face wasn't scraped. Mihir offered to let me go home, but there was no one there to pick me up, and I decided to stay and make some money, and not make Erica stay two hours late. He let me get out a chair. I'm thinking about calling in today (Tues) though. I'll see how I feel. If much better, I'll go in.
