Deep Thoughts
May. 14th, 2005 02:03 pmI have arrived at the conclusion that everyone is insane, and that the would would be a better place if we just assumed that of each other, and treated everyone with the gentleness we would treat people who could not help themselves. Now, this is not to say that assholes get a free pass. They should just be as understanding that you could not help keying their big honking SUV as you are understanding that they must park in such a way as to make it impossible for you to get out of the driver side of your own car.

Well I'm on the way back to Florida today. I'm happy. I get to see my own cats, and not feel like I'm drowing in Beanie Babies. Brian will be here soon, and he's bringing Rachelle with him. The plan is to stop overnight in Tifton, or somewhere close to the border. I hope we make it in time to watch Metropolis tonight on SciFi.

Fear and Loathing in Michigan
Jan. 22nd, 2005 10:46 pmNews flash...I need better gloves for this shit. I'm trying to turn into a lizard, starting with the back of my hands. The swines say we have to leave tomorrow, and I'm too emotionally strangled to argue. They scare me. The world has turned white, and the stench of anxiety runs through the city in the way that a fat, naked female exibitionist does not. My blond companion chased me around the house with a two by four, screaming Marxist retoric, and recipies for microwave dishes until I wiped the car free of it's icey tomb.
I was forced by my blond bedmate to eat raw fish, and rice today. I'm begining to suspect her of great evil. It might just be my lack of medication. Tomorrow we set out on the great journey, with nothing but a package of Benedrils I stole from her, three cats, and a Christmas Cactus.
I grow suspicious of that cactus. It mocks me.

Hello from Michigan!
Jan. 21st, 2005 02:04 amI've been up to different than usual stuff, so I decided to stop being lazy and post. For those that are unaware, I am currently in Michigan. Whoopy! heh. Actually it's been fun.
The flight up was mercifully uneventuful.I was placed in a small jet, with two seats on one side of the isle, and one seat on the other. I got to hear a wonderful narrative from the next row neighbor about God and Lord of the Rings. Ironicly he had it all basicly correct, a difference from the usual fantasy is a tool of the devil idea that goes around. I landed in Jersey, got nervous, read, drank tea, and boarded another plane. From the way we took off, I finally got to see the Statue of Liberty. My head almost didn't comprehend it. I had no idea I was that close to New York. But there she was, statue and skyline. New York is gorgious from the air. Soon I landed and had to wait abit for my ride. Apperently security at airports don't remember about two dollar hour parking, or that one person can be dropped off to meet someone in the public areas of a terminal. Geeze.
That night we had sushi and shabu shabu at the local Japanese place. For those who don't know, shabu shabu is food cooked at the table in a frying pan full of peanut oil. You cook it yourself. Meat and vegies. It ws good. I got to meet, in person, at last, Misseru, Angie-chan, and Kender. Delightful peeps, one and all.
After dinner was much Anime.
The next day we went to let me play in the snow, because I'm southern, and more than an inch of snow is crazy. I had to buy boots. They are roughly snowproof, and colored in a way that reminds me of the background of Yellow Submarine. I enjoyed it.
we got Angie-chan packed up, and today, cozily settled into her own new place. We gathered recycleables, ate greek gyros, watched more anime. Tomorrow, LAUNDRY! *cracks whip*

Jan. 5th, 2005 08:08 pmGot some shit done today. Almost feels like I didn't, but I really did. I'm pretty safe to travel to Texas I think. Mostly because I worked out that I won't be there just one last semester. Going to try for a second degree, and it will involve web design. I may just be dropping the Math outright. So, yay.
I'm ready for my Journey into the West. Or more aptly, the South.
I did manage to ass out in front of my Dept. Advisor. Apperently I did lack sleep, and I couldn't remember the word "elective" to say my soul. What is it with me, and forgetting *words*? Makes me feel retarded. I mean, everyone forgets names, but how can you get stuck on a word? *shakes head*
I did take a nap when we got home. Had an *incredibly* geeky dream about being a Hogwarts student, and sitting on the really snooty girl Slytherin to get Angie's glasses back. That was fun.

I am loved
Jan. 4th, 2005 04:20 amLooks like I am taking a trip soon. My friend
neintales is moving to Texas and the poor dear needs my help. In the grand tradition of paying the old Kharma, I am going to help her, like
vernard helped me. Not that I won't enjoy it. It proves to be a challenge too, of course, but I look forward to trying to help.
neintales is certainly looking forward to seeing me. I only hope I can be helpful and do some good.
The trip so far is possibly to fly up to Michigan, help pack, drive down to Texas, then possibly take a train home. Mmm...train. hehe! If all goes well, I'll go further west than I will ever have been to my knowledge. I'll be in Alpine, TX.

Back from Philly
Oct. 4th, 2004 09:08 pmHey all. I made it back from Philly, safe and sound. Brian and my Mom too. We didn't get to go to the zoo, or see the Liberty Bell, but we managed to have a good time anyway.
Saturday I finally got to meet Perry, and he's adorable. First off, getting anywhere in Philly apperently sucks the ass. It took poor Perry about 20 minutes to find us with us guiding him on the phone. Ugh! But we got it together finally. In some manner it was odd how comfortable it was. We didn't have time to do the greets and hugs cause Perry picked us up amidst traffic in a no parking zone. So we hopped in, and just started off. It was almost like friends who see each other every day. Well, we kinda do, but not face to face. There was barely even any, "Oh, that's what you look like..." (BTW he does not look like Quentin Tarrentino. Scruffy nerfherder maybe...) We then head for South Street, which is kinda this neat bohemian sort of place. For you ATL folks, it's abit like Little Five Points, only there are more chain stores. There is where we got our first Philly cheese steaks. They were as good as promised. We asked for directions to get to the wresting show later, and after visiting the anime and game store (I got a Stickfa!) we headed out. Following the directions given lead us straight into the ghetto. I don't even mean the bad side of town...I mean the ghe-tto....Trash, railroad tracks, and badly fading houses. Mean looking people. Fortunately we made it out with little incident, and found a friendly drugstore (as opposed to crackhouse) to ask for directions to the highway. Finally we made it there.
For you wrestling fans, ROH Wrestling, Ring of Honor, is a good show. It's got good fan/crowd energy and is less predictable and melowdramatic than WWE. There is more wrestling as well, as opposed to the nutty shit that goes on with WWE. Perry enjoyed himself greatly, inspite of a rocky start. They had hung the lights badly across from us. They shone with the brightness of a thousand suns right into our eyes. The whole section eventually moved, and we were driven from front row seats. That was boo. Perry got to see the force of nature that is Brian. Not only did Brian fend off intruders to get us a parking space at South Street, but he then went and got back better than the difference on tickets for us having to give up front row. Sadly the night came to an end, and we had to say goodbye. I am so glad I finally got to meet Perry face to face though.
Sunday was pretty good too. We had to check our bags with the bellhop and we roamed for abit in the neighborhood. Went back to Borders and Tower records. Also I went early and fetched coffee from this bakery right down the block. The place baked wedding cakes and chichi deserts. Oh...My...God. The pastries were so good. I ate this pecan breakfast crumble thing, and I brought a lemon bar to Brian. The coffee was hot and strong. I like it like I like my women, strong, tan, and sweet. *sploitchsnuggles
zorathenne*
Mom had a great time, which made me happy. She made friends and got some Harmony Kingdom pieces that pleased her. She got to meet the artist.
Soon we were through the airport security and on our way. The only event was the sudden going off of the fire alarm which was shrill and awful. And a false alarm. I am thinking seriously of complaining. The flight was uneventful, except for Brian and I having a pillow fight with those small pillows and Mom breaking us up like naughty children.
I had alot of fun, but boy I am glad to be home. In spite of the "gift" that the Boy (most likely) left on the bed as a protest of the state of the litter box. Oi...Now I face icky laundry tasks. But, cest la vie. Everything else was so good I don't even care about the cat shitting on the bed, and the windows still being boarded up.
So for the end I'd just like to say I registered to vote today. And I napped. Sleep is good. Mmm...sleep...on my very own couch....OH..and my Hermit Crab popped up from her molt. She looks pretty good.

Update from Philly
Oct. 1st, 2004 10:41 pmI made it to Philly just fine, with my Mom, and Brian. I enjoyed the plane ride, and got to have the window seat this go around. It's so beautiful breaking the clouds. The way they looked reminded me of iceflows in the arctic. Soft misty clouds like misty water, with harder, more solid looking fluffy clouds breaking from the mist like full blown iceburgs. And when you looked down at the earth, the buildings and roads were dim. Shadowy, like gazing at objects under water. It was like being in a dream world. It's odd how I can't abide roller coasters, but I found turbulance thrilling.
I accidentally stirred Brian to try making my Mom eat on some sort of schedual. I had told him to make sure she ate befor the flight, because we might not have food for awhile, and she hadn't eaten yet. She doesn't need babysitting, but at least he cares.
So far Philly has been a nice vacation. We're staying in a picturesque hotel, and the neighborhood is busy with high class shops and places to eat. I'm having fun with my camera.
Tomorrow I finally get to meet Perry, one of my oldest internet friends. I've met Angie afew times. Of course I've met that prick from PA, Todd. Next would be the elusive D, huh?
Speaking of Todd, a belated Happy Birthday to him, and I hope his jaw is better.
Also my thoughts and prayers go out to CJ,
scathedobsidian's ladyfriend, and to
zoethe and her family. I hope your troubling situations are soon resolved, and in a beneficial way.

The Land of Kudzu and Peach Nehi
Aug. 13th, 2004 08:26 pmWe made it out of Florida ahead of Charley. The drive was mostly pleasant. I was allowed to nap through half of it. We breached the cloud cover, and the day was really nice. I watched the countryside go by, and kept tormenting Brian with my stream of consciousness conversations. There was alot of kudzu. For those who have never visited the south, Kudzu is a vine that was imported from Japan as a stop measure against erosion..What the people who came up with this didn't know was that kudzu is a voracious vine that can literally grow a foot a day. There are places out in the country where kudzu has overtaken acres of land. If you are lucky, you can see where it's overgrown these old tin roof shacks, and pieces of landscape. It covers trees, and grows up light poles. It's crazy stuff.
One of our little rituals is to stop at this one store on the way home that sells sodas in glass bottles, and buy peach Nehi sodas. They are perfectly cool, and taste so sweet. One of life's little pleasures.

I think I'm turning Japanese
Jun. 1st, 2004 12:14 amMy Japanese name is Hanako Ekiguchi.
Take The Kawaii Japanese Name Generator today!
Created with Rum and Monkey's Name Generator Generator.
God I wish. I *seriously* want to go to Japan one day. My list of countries to go to is, Japan, New Zealand, China, Italy, UK, and Russia. Japan is a particular because I'm just such a japanophile. Yes, it has it's problems, but hey, so does the US. Japan has a style, and seems to appreciate artists. If course, I already know that if I go on public transport, I best wear armor...I am a busty redhead with a juicy ass. Hentai target for sure. Mary Anne once vollenteered to teach me to say, "Don't touch me there, or I'll kill you!" in japanese. I guess she'd know.
