We may get our 16 year old nephew for the summer. This could be good, or bad. One thing we do have is room. A room, spacifically, which has a TV and cable in it, but the privacy is limited due to it being the pathway to the laundry room. Money on the other hand, maybe not so much. we'll have to work on getting him set up through the state for foodstamps, or something. Brian has mentioned something about him getting a job if his grades are good. I'm of the opinion that he may not end up in school at all for the moment. It'll depend on if his school, a smaller one from Alabama is up to the same level as the huge metropolitan highschool here. Not that Florida's academic standards are high, but small school vs big school, and different states. According to Brian he is rough around the edges, talks street, and needs a haircut. I find this assesment amusing, because it makes Brian sound all fatherly. I remind him that while we can provide a safe place to fall, and a framework, we can't retroparent this kid. 16 is too old.
I'll keep you posted.
EDIT: It's offial. We're getting him. He's good with the decision though.
