[livejournal.com profile] brian_sama has been playing a game called "Front Line" all day. It's a combat based first person shooter. We have surround sound, and it's pretty loud. I think I dreamed I was in a MASH Unit. I've noticed that a lot of the maps are for fictional countries that end in "stan." Like Turkistan. This has lead to Team America jokes (Durkadurkistan) and the question of is there a female squad in Menarejerksistan.

In other news, another Bike Week has come and gone. I did have to call the cops once on a noisy room. I am always amused when someone comes down for Bike Week, and seems surprised that someone else wants to party and get drunk into the wee hours. That's almost like someone attending Oktoberfest, and being surprised that they are close to people drinking beer all night. It's a gathering of bikers, people. Just because you're only a weekend warrior doesn't mean everyone is. That's one of the reasons I fine Bike Week and Biketoberfest so fascinating. Where else, but these events, could you find "motorcycle enthusiasts" rubbing elbows with actual gang members, like Hells Angels. Bikers are generally fun people. The culture is amazing, and full of history. It attracts people from all walks of life. The local paper featured stories about the one old dude who has literally ridden his bike all around the world. He takes it with him overseas even. There was also the story about the 82 year old grandmother who rode down from NY who rode down the whole way with her daughter, and who's been coming since 1951. Isn't that great?
