Weight Loss Update

I've made it under 180. I've gone down a bra band size. (Not cup size, oh no..) It's official. I can shop at Victoria's Secret.

New House?

We looked at houses today. We've been looking for the last couple of years, sometimes more wistfully than seriously. We've been working on our credit. We've been watching the housing market. We're ready, or at least we hope. We're paying a sizable chunk of rent, which could easily be a house payment, including insurance and tax.

The first house today was frightening. There was a pool in the back that was supporting wildlife. Plaster was falling down, the carpet was torn out, and there was graffiti on one wall. Yikes. The second house though. The second house was beautiful. Both houses were located in an area of retired people, near the municipal gold course.

The second house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath. It's also a fixer upper, but unlike the first house, it's manageable. There are some stains on the carpet, a window to nowhere, a ceiling that needs a little plaster, and maybe some tile work in the bathroom. On the other hand there is a working garage door, washer and dryer, dishwasher, nice yard, and pretty good sized kitchen.
