Yay, I voted

I didn't have my voter reg card, and I wasn't certain if they'd let me vote anyway, since I had changed addresses and precincts, but I decided not to be detered, and walked to the closest voting spot, armed with passport, piece of mail, and ID. Turns out I would have little problem at all. Just filling out some paperwork, and now I have a "probationary" ballot. :p on that, but at least I voted. Hopefully they count it!

Harumph and Hurrah

Well Florida didn't get a Dem Govenor, but honestly I'm not surprised. This is a rich conservative state, and those who don't vote for being conservative still vote their wallet. Still, we're sending afew new Dems up to Washington. Hopefully Charley Crist will stay out of coma patient's hospital rooms. I'm holding onto hope that Dems get the majority, but if nothing else, we've gotten more Dems on the pile, and that sends a clear message. And I hope that from this fresh pack of Dems, a phoenix will rise in the form of a Dem Presidential candidate with poise, style, and down to earth values that won't scare off the SUV set. Hell, if I was a Dem with *any* chance of being put up for the Presidential Race, I'd be consulting with anyone I could, and coming up with a workable exit plan, just so I could trot that bitch out, and flip the GOP off. Democrats can run a war, bitches!
