Update while the iPeep fills

Oh yeah..the pleasure of trying to fill something that can take several albums. Like tinhuviel I am heady with the special high that comes with my new toy, and because I have a Mac, filling the Peep is easy. So far it's got HIM, Billy Idol, Evanescense, Garbage, Lords of Acid, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Stabbing Westward. I like to listen to angry music and mutter to myself on the bus. I look forward to testing this all out tomorrow.

In other news, I discovered tonight that I am allergic to Skintimates Shave Gel for sensitive skin. Not hives allergic, but sinus sneezing allergic. This is a very sudden developement, but made my shower and the act of shaving my legs a bit more exciting. Think not? Hold a razor to your leg and sneeze.

Bug Out Bag

Florida is on fire again. Soon it will be the rainy season, but until then, it will remain dry and easily ignited. It's been bad enough to close various highways. People have been evacuated.

Let me go onto a tangent for a moment. Some of you may not need to know this. Some of you may already know. But for those of you who have never heard, or thought of this befor, a word to the wise. If local, state, or federal officials ask, or tell you to evacuate, do not stay. It's not because you are gambling with your own safety. You have the right to do that. It's because you could be gambling with the lives of rescuers later.

Now that I have digressed, back to the subject at hand; the bugout bag.

The Bugout Bag is a concept of creating an easily picked up and transported piece of luggage that contains everything you might *need* if you find yourself in a situation where you have to pick up and leave. Between the hurricanes and the fires, I've decided that this is a good idea. There are varying levels of these bags, from the "I have to take what I need to run to a hotel for a couple of days," to, "I may have to camp in the wilderness." The wilderness one will become important if there is one of those government toppling pandemics, or a Katrina level disaster.

This is at least the begining of a list of things I'm going to begin to gather for a "run for a hotel" bag.

Cloths. (One pair of jeans, sweatpants, 2 t-shirts, 3 pairs underwear, bra, 3 pairs socks.)
Box with my documents. (Copy of my ID, birth cert, marrage cert, Social Security card, passport)
Devoted credit card with no balance.
250.00 cash.
Backup disks of my computers contents.
Camera
Toiletries. (Shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, tampons/pads, astrigent, q-tips)
Washcloth and one towel

That's all I can think of right now.
