Hot Topic and Hurricanes
Sep. 2nd, 2004 02:02 amWell, I will dutifully report my freaky incident today. This probably has to do with the fact that recently I got my hair cut way short. Also today I didn't really bother to style it. Brian compaired my hairstyle to certain female officers on COPS. And today I really got it good. A lesbian checked me out. How did I know? Well the rainbow rings on a dogtag chain was a hint. She asked me if I knew where any good "underground clubs" were. Hmmm....
I don't really mind that I was checked out...But it certainly made Brian's day to hear about it. I believe the term is "hooted" with laughter.
Today was not my best day. I just don't react well to not enough sleep, and being kept awake by pounding and banging. But the house is now mostly boarded up. Sam, the landlord is planning to cut the power completely.
The way things stand now, I'll know by noon if I am headed up to Atlanta. I'll have a little pack, and a pillow. The house is boarded up. The power is going to be cut. Brian is staying at the TV station because he'll get double pay. He plans to use it to travel to New Jersey to see a wrestling show. A little vacation for him too. The kitties will stay here and I will have faith that they will be safe in the boarded up second floor.
My prayers go out to all of Florida right now, of course. Particularly tonight I hope that all my friends, Rini, Jesse, Amie, Hanna, Rachelle and Ernesto all come through ok. I hope my new aquaintance Jeremy also does fine. And I hope Danna makes it to Atlanta safely and comfortably.
