Not a good day...
Aug. 13th, 2004 01:18 amThis was not a good day for gay people, and that's sad to me. I'm very pro gay, though ironicly, not being gay myself. I generally am for anything that doesn't add to overpopulation. I would be bi, but I find myself at odds with women frequently, so have not found the right woman yet. I fancy that I am a black gay man trapped in the body of a white girl.
Anyway, A higher court in Cali went and annuled all the marrages performed in San Francisco. I'm sure this will be a headache for the Cali Court system as many lawsuits are lobbed in. So instead of getting taxable income from the various enterprizes, such as buying and owning property, and businesses, they will be *paying* money to defend themselves. I suppose the principle is worth it.
Also the governor of New Jersey resigns thanks to being outed over an extra marital gay affair. While President Clinton's impeachment over affairs still looms in people's memories, do you think that any other gov's would resign if caught having affairs? It's also sad that the major reason this man must resign is the fact that the ex blackmailed him. Nice...Classy move there. I am constantly stunned by the quixotic nature of political loyalty. Clinton is ousted for a blowjob. Mayor Marion Barry of Washington is reelected after being caught on video tape smoking crack, and canoodling with what he thought was a hooker.
So here is a quote to ponder, thanks to the ex Governor.
"At a point in every person's life, one has to look deeply into the mirror of one's soul and decide one's unique truth in the world, not as we may want to see it or hope to see it, but as it is."
