This weekend

Had a pretty good couple of days off. We traveled over to Tampa to spend some time. Spent the first night over with Rachelle, cause we got in kinda late. The next morning, bright and early, we got up to go to the Renn Faire in Tampa, and meet up with Scott, my loooong time friend who finally moved back to this coast. Did the usual Renny thing. Watched some shows, oogled the pretties, wished we'd won the lottery, and predicted our sinus infections due to dust. It was great to be around Scott again, along with his wife, YJ, and their two munchkins. Eventually we got hungry, and departed, making plans to hang out with Scott later. We watched the 300, which has more six packs than a brewery. I'm not sure of the absolute historical accuracy of the movie, but I didn't walk away thinking, "Well that was nothing but shite and pure fiction." Still certain that Frank Miller is gay. (Also, I know it wasn't supposed to be non fiction, but I get annoyed by movies that are based on anything historical, and then it totally effs up the history, especially when the history is *good*.) Afterwards we ended up back at Scott's house, for steaks, and potatoes. We talked and ate. Afterwards I watched a bit of Casino Royalle with Rini, but began napjerking through it, so I need to watch it again.

Now we are home, safe and sound. The trip home was uneventful, and at points slower than Brian would have liked. It was a country drive, and there were many reminders of the small town culture I grew up in, some good, and others making me glad I'm a bigger goldfish now.
