I didn't lose.

I'm a democrat, and I voted for John Kerry. I listened to the vitrol until I was sick. I absolutely *hated* the vicious ad campaigns. They gave me no real information about why I should vote for anyone. "Vote for me 'cause I'm against terrorism, and I'm a Christian, and you guys are christians, and that guy over there is *Catholic* and will let Gay people marry and make out in the front yard!" or "Vote for me, Bush is a liar, and I'm not Bush, (sorry, I lie too..)"

I didn't vote for Kerry because I liked him. I am a Democrat, and I didn't like Bush.

That being said I would like to say this: Today, post election, I have seen alot of people going off. I knew they would. They were going off last week about Bush. I'll assume most of this is venting, and try to ignore it. For those that might be serious about firebombing things...SEEK HELP. Those of you talking about moving, befor you make that choice a definate, go *talk* to people from that country who live here now. Ask them why. Canada is really cold, and if you think our taxes are bad...Who do you think pays for all their great health care?

Anyway the point of my little post is this. Bush may be our president, and most of the people I know didn't vote for him, but after afew days I hope the depression lifts, because while 51-55% of Americans may have wanted Bush, that leaves almost half of America who didn't. That's half of America who are *watching* his every move now. That's half of America who will remember shit when the next House and Senate race comes open. So all these Republican politicians know they have to keep a crowd of potentially disgruntled people happy.

I haven't lost. Neither have you. Until a man with a US flag patch on his uniform, from a sanctioned military force puts a gun to your head, you haven't lost. Keep joining. Keep talking. Keep having fun!

I refer back to my trip to Washington, link to be posted below, and I know why, and how, I like to fight.

The real problem in my opinion is that they haven't even finished counting every single vote because they don't really count them and they don't really matter when it's all over if you think about it. I'll bet that it will come out that Kerry gets the popular vote once ALL the counting of absentees and overseas ballots is finished. But hen he can't do a damned thing. And that's not fair. Electoral College is a bunch of crap. This country is fucked and I'm seriously considering moving to Canada if our situation worsens.
