Pancakes are the good....

This is going to sound silly, but I have had a long standing rivalry with pancakes. I cook well. I'm not a great chef, but I can follow a recipe and not burn things. I make some fairly awsome dishes. But....I can't cook a perfect pancake to save my life. By perfect I mean the golden brown, crispy edges, cooked through pancake. Nothing fancy. Doesn't have to look like the ones on TV. What I get is pancakes that are slightly black, and occasionally scrunched like an accordian from me trying to lift them befor they are black, and them not being cooked enough. I have tried different recipes. I've tried various temps. They just defeat me. On the plus side, they taste pretty much the same.

Brian still makes them better looking though.
